NSW has now been provided full allocation of nomination places for the 2020–21 financial year.
By Home Affairs direction, NSW will continue to focus on nominating applicants undertaking work in critical sectors. These applicants are a priority for Government to support economic recovery following the impacts of COVID-19.
Business and investor visas
NSW will begin accepting direct applications in early February 2021 for all Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) streams, and the Business Talent (Permanent) visa (subclass 132) Significant Business History stream.
Applications for returning visa nominations continue as normal.
Skilled visas
Invitation rounds occur ongoing throughout the financial year. In line with Home Affairs’ direction, NSW will only invite applicants in selected health, ICT and engineering occupations, and who currently reside in NSW.
Please visit subclass 190 visa website for information about eligibility for NSW nomination and how invitation rounds work.
Information about how to apply for NSW nomination for the subclass 491 visa will be made available on subclass 491 visa website as soon as possible. NSW cannot provide a time frame at this time.
For all visa subclasses, you do not need to submit a new EOI in SkillSelect if your current EOI remains valid.
